Time For Changes in Indian Team

 Indian Team gets knocked out in yet another Semi-Finals of WC. But honestly, we all knew that this team was not good enough for WC.

From openers to death bolwers & spinners our team had weakness everywhere. It was either Surya or Virat saving us in important matches otherwise we weren’t good enough to win this WC.

And now it’s the best time to change the playing style of this team, although I know BCCI will hardly do one or two changes. But as a cricket & ICT fan I want following changes in team for next T20 WC :

  1. Virat, Rohit, Bhuvi, Ashwin & DK should retire from T20 - I may sound harsh or like angry fan but it’s time we realize that they are now no more an asset for the team. Virat might had saved this team but with him becoming older & thinking about workload he should retire & focus on 2023 WC. Same with Rohit as he is too getting older & he should now focus solely on 23 WC.
  2. Drop Rahul - Drop Rahul who had been woeful in pressure matches. Add Shaw or Ishaan Kishan or Ruturaj in team & make them open than Rohit or Rahul. They will either score 60 in 6 over on their day or will end up getting out early but atleast they will make sure that in Powerplay it will be opponent who will be facing the heat and not us.
  3. Add 3D Players - T20 requires player who had better fielding & can contribute with both bat & ball. Players like Deepak Hooda, Venkatesh iyer should play more matches & make them bowl atleast 2 overs.
  4. Give Chance to Young Players & back them - You cannot expect to get a 50 from Shaw or Ruturaj in every match, they are new to team & they need confidence from management that they will get longer rope. Players like Venkatesh Iyer was dropped despite performing good for India, Ruturaj is dropped from ODI squad after playing just 1 match, Pant is still playing T20 despite not playing single match winning Innings. This is not how you back players.

Shardul/Chahar

I have no hope that BCCI will do anything but I just presented my view as fan.
